Haverhill is a vibrant market town located in the southwest corner of Suffolk and is a large town with a busy high street and is well known for its Victorian architecture.
Haverhill enjoys excellent transport links, situated approx 65 miles north of London, 20 miles south-east of Cambridge and close to the M11 and A14. Dullingham is the nearest railway station and Stansted Airport is only 25 miles away.
You'll find lots to do with lots of attractions on offer including a fantastic arts centre, leisure centre,ten-pin bowling, cinema and golf course. Numerous pubs and bars to relax in and several coffee shops and cafes to take advantage of while sampling local shopping (most of the major retailers are represented).The busy market is held on Fridays and Saturdays.
Other local amenities include East Town Park, a 38 acre country park to the east of Haverhill on the very edge of town. The park received its first Green Flag award in 2008 and a variety of events are held in the park throughout the year.
In November 2004, Haverhill made history by opening the first roundabout in the world to contain a laser lit sculpture. The structure, named ‘The Spirit of Enterprise’, on the gateway roundabout at the entrance to Haverhill from Cambridge stands over 11 metres tall and is lit by blue sodium lights in addition to the laser.
