The network is made up of three lines which run from Bury, Altrincham and Eccles into Manchester city centre with a network of 37 stops covering 23 miles.
Manchester is a major international airport and offers flights and connections to domestic and worldwide destinations. As Manchester was the site of the world’s first railway station, it goes without saying that there is also comprehensive bus and main-line rail coverage.
Manchester is a centre for education and The University of Manchester is the biggest single-site university in Britain.
The city has been responsible for some notable scientific firsts including the first programmable computer and the first ever splitting of an atom. It’s also the city where Mr Rolls met My Royce!
Manchester has an excellent sporting pedigree with two Premiership football clubs, Manchester United and Manchester City; Sale Sharks (Premiership Rugby Union) & Lancashire County Cricket Club to name but a few.
Although it may be a cosmopolitan city, Manchester boasts 135 green areas including Heaton Park, with over 610 acres of parkland, it’s one of the largest municipal parks in Europe.
