Telford is situated in the borough of Telford and Wrekin in the county of Shropshire.
Telford was named after the renowned civil engineer Thomas Telford and is the largest town in Shropshire. Telford is a new town having been constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, reclaiming land previously used for industry and agriculture.
